My ideal classroom is not too different from your everyday classroom. I want to have a whitboard on at least two walls. I want to have my student's desks rearranged into a "u" shape so that all students can see the main board and so that all my students are on equal ground. I hope that my room is spacious and not the size of a closet, like some of the classrooms I have seen. Ideally I want to have some windows in my room, but I won't hold my breath. I know that I will have pictures on the walls of different authors, the six traits of writing, the classroom rules and one wall and corner of the classroom will be decorated according to the books we as a class a reading at time, (bats hanging from the ceiling and tombstones for Dracula). I hope to have bookshelves with numerous books on them.
I hope that my classroom has wifi in it. It makes things so much easier when you can connect to wifi. If I am needing to pull information or videos off the web, wifi is a must. I want to be able to pull up presentations on my laptop and project them onto the screen. I hope that the school and the classroom are up to date on technology, but I can make do if it doesnot have all the technological things that I want. I hope that my classroom is warm, inviting, and a safe environment that all my students will feel free to express themselves in and bring with them the "spirit of discovery". I wonder if it will be possible to paint a wall a different color. Probably not, but if I could I would paint one a soft ocean blue-green color.
this blog was a bit short and 'shallow' for this topic. I would like you to explore your deeper thoughts and give a bit more of yourself to the blogs. This is not just a hoop to jump through, this assignment gives you the opportunity to explore how you feel and what you would create. This gives me a better look into you and what kind of teacher you would be. The better you sell yourself ...let me get to know you...the better I can help you.
ReplyDeletePlease make future blogs deeper, more informative, and longer.
PS...I would also like you to use positive statements. Let's not focus on reality...shoot for the stars...there is no reason that you can't have a room with windows and wifi! Make it happen...and you can make this happen!
PPS...please change your blog title so that it has your first and last name...I don't know who you are and must guess that you are Amber Avery...hope this is correct!
